Is There A Difference Between Staying Clean From Drugs
                  And Recovering From Drugs?

Alcohol:  Is It Really a Drug?

             Do 12-Step Programs Really Work!

Education is the key. It's the key that answers important questions that are paramount in assisting people in recovery. Giving the right information can make all the difference in the world to a recovering addict. Misinformation can lead to relapse and/or death. Is your staff qualified and in the know when dispensing life altering information to recovering persons? Ask yourself and your staff the following:  (1) Is there a difference between staying clean from drugs and recovering from drugs? (2) Alcohol: Is It a Drug? (3) Do 12-StepPrograms Really Work? If you answered yes to all three, then you're in the know and on the right track in providing knowledgeable information to others. If you answered no to any question, give us a call and we'll update you with the information that can save a life.

Is There A Difference Between Staying Clean From Drugs And Recovering From Drugs? Just because a person is abstaining from drugs does not necessitate recovery. Has there been a change in thinking, speaking, and feeling, acting or reacting to life situations? Has there been a "change" in behavior, a change in choice making, and a definite change in living life. No change  no recovery.

Alcohol:  Is it really a Drug? - Chronic or habitual use of any chemical substance to alter states of body or mind for other than medically warranted purposes is considered a drug. Once the body develops dependence to alcohol, a sudden cessation of its intake is likely to produce withdrawal symptoms. Withdrawal symptoms can be life threatening and include severe anxiety, tremors, hallucinations, and convulsions. Sounds like a drug to me.

Do 12-Step Programs Really Work? Yes, 12-Step Programs work. Why, because of the Spiritual Principles that are associated with each step. They provide day-by-day solutions to issues that we all face on a daily basis. With a 12-Step Program you are given an opportunity to work on yourself, to be responsible for your own actions, and realizing that you are not accountable for the actions of others. This in itself is a freeing notion. Learn what each step brings to enhance your life.
